All Grown Up

I have a serious case of the "baby blues". Jex is just so grown up. I mean he is only 13 months and still a baby but he is so independent (compared to 13 months ago :) ). He is 100% weened which is bittersweet. I absolutely loved breastfeeding. I could go on forever about the benefits of breastfeeding. However, that last month I think Jex was ready be done but I wasnt. He was definitely to the point where he thought he was too big but I wanted to keep nursing because it was the only time he would let me just hold him. He is a busy little guy and now he is walking and he never wants to be held. If I pick him up just for a second he is squirming and yelling for me to put him down.
He also LOVES his dad. Which is so good, I am so happy that Josh plays with him and they love eachother but I want Jex to come for me for comfort =). But right now he just wants his Dad pretty much all the time. I am not used to this. It has just been the last 2 weeks that he has really been reaching for and wanting Josh. Although, when he is tired or hungry he wants me. I will take anything.
I always planned on having my kids really close in age since I want a big family and I loved being close in age with my siblings. But sometimes things dont happen like we plan =) so for now I am going to be happy with my sweet little boy that I love so much!
