The Past 2 Months!

Ok wow! A lot has happened in the past two months! I am not near as good at updated my blog as I should be! So we are back in Boise! Yay! That is the best new of all. It was a good summer and a great experience for Josh! We were able to make some great friends there that we will probably keep in touch with. Josh learned some great things and probably did one of the hardest (not physically) jobs he has ever done. I am so proud of him for sticking through it all. It really shows a lot about him. Our last week in New York my mom came and it was the most eventful week of my whole stay there! I am so glad that she came. We went to Vermont, New York City and Palmyra. We put over 1,000 miles on her little rental car in just 5 days! We had a blast! My mom and I flew back friday Aug. 7th and Josh drove back with 3 other guys (2 cars) that he was working with. They drove straight through it was a 42 hour drive! He didnt want to ride in a car again for a month! We have been busy since we have been back here. We went to a family reunion, challis with some friends, Josh started school and is helping coach Varsity soccer at Mountain View. Here are some pictures of the summer......

He is the cutest little boy ever!

Jex's first try of Rice Cereal. He seems to like it okay.
However I think he likes the idea of eating off of a spoon
rather than the taste... i dont blame him!

In challis, Josh, Scott and Ed climbed all the way to the top of Mount Borah! It took them 4 1/2 hours up and 3 hours down. They did a really great job. Jakel and I were definitely impressed at their time. They proved their studliness to us!

Josh and Scott played in the creek by the cabin. It got pretty hot up there. I made them sit in the water so I could get pictures with my camera and Jakels camera.

We went to the zoo with my mom, malia (sister), Isaiah (cousin) and makiya (cousin) Jex did super good as always. He just hung out in the stroller while we got to see all of the animals. They have made some great improvements to the zoo since I had last been, which was probably about 6 years!

We also took Jex on his first boating trip at lucky peak. I dont think he loved the life jacket but he did well. He fell asleep for a little while when we were driving around on the boat.

Jex and Scarlet reunited! It was probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen. These two were born on the exact same day! It is really a great story because Scott and Jakel are some of our favorite friends, we do a lot with them. Jakel and I were pregnant at the same time which was great and so much fun to be able to talk about all the crazy things that happen to your body while pregnant. We always joked about having them on the same day... but seriously that just doesnt happen. They were over at our house 1/2 hour before my water broke at 12:30a feb. 22 Josh called them and Jakel got so excited her water broke 3 hours later! so here they are.. best freinds forever! anyway when they reunited after We got back from New York Scarlet was just kissing all over Jex. They clearly missed eachother!

In Palmyra we were walking around the Joseph Smith houses and Jex was enjoying being in the front pack. He was kicking his legs and having a great time. Then it was like suddenly he was leaning forward so I asked my mom to see if the velcro came undone or something.... but nope he just fell asleep. It was the funniest thing he gave absolutely no warning! =) I am so lucky to have such a great baby! He is the best.
Well there it is in a nutshell. I promise to be better about updating so we dont have to see 2 months at a time!
